“Your task is not to seek for love but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.”

About Existentialism

Existentialism focuses on the direct and unfiltered experiences of individuals and is firmly rooted in the present. Here and now. Many people operate within conventional thought patterns which often mask the true nature of their inner truth and knowing,

Inauthenticity arises from this self-deception, leading to a life that strays from one's genuine path in the world, resulting in feelings of dread, guilt, and anxiety.

Existential therapy offers a path to authenticity and claiming full responsibility for oneself. Through increased awareness, individuals gain the ability to actively shape their existence in a profound and purposeful way.

The existential viewpoint asserts that individuals are in a perpetual state of remaking and rediscovering themselves. There exists no fixed essence of human nature waiting to be unearthed. Rather, there are ceaselessly unfolding horizons, novel challenges, and fresh opportunities for perpetual exploration and growth.

My Offering

The relationship between therapist and client is the most important aspect of psychotherapy and it grows out of contact. In the case of therapy, contact doesn’t refer to physical proximity but rather an experience of genuine interaction that is marked by straightforward caring, warmth, acceptance and personal responsibility.

In honor of that relationship, I commit to orienting myself as fully as possible to your perspective without judging, analyzing or interpreting and to provide a safe emotional environment where you can unfold. I embrace all lifestyle choices and work with clients within the framework of their current values and beliefs to find joy and satisfaction. My goal is to help you see that you’re already enough and inherently worthy - because You Are! I will thoughtfully, discerningly, and with sensitivity express observations, feelings, personal experience and thoughts as appropriate to help expand the field of possibilities. I commit to helping you see your life as a beautiful mystery - a perpetual unfolding - and to embrace the unknown.

My only desire as your therapist is to help you learn how to build and sustain a loving and trusting relationship with yourself where compassion and grace reside instead of shame. I am here to guide you back to your innate inner compass and to help you find the courage to follow it one choice at a time.

Reaching Out

“That step, the heroic first step of the journey, is out of, or over the edge of, your boundaries and often must be taken before you know that you will be supported.” Joseph Campbell
